BRUSSELS, BELGIUM

Brussels, BELGIUM- Yes, it is only suitable that a huge amount of chocolate and waffles be eaten in this country, and we didn’t take this lightly. We where soon to find out chocolate alley where we could spend about half an hour devouring tasters and making it sound as if he were generally interested in buying. We stayed in Brussels and day tripped to Bruges. I didn’t have much to expect, and wasn’t sure what to see, but the history really amazed me.  A famous monument to look out for in Brussles is the statue of the peeing baby, otherwise known as the Manneken Pis. French fries are classically Belgium, so of course we found the best French Fries café in town and divulged in some oily fries. In Brussels there is a 10 story building, and from the roof you have the best view of the city, we went up and took some fun photos.  I didn’t have much to expect, and wasn’t sure what to see, but the history really amazed me.  

LIMONE, ITALY

LIMONE. Famous for its lemons, the village of Limone is build on the edge of the river up the mountain and mainly consists of the many rows of lemon trees all well kept by a kind old man, who was very eger to show us around and tell us about the different citrus fruits in his orchard. Limone is close to Venice which meant the famous Murano glass was sold in this area too, along with the venetian mask. 

RIVA DEL GARDA

Riva Del Garda, Italy. If you find Verona on a map, west, is a lake called Garda. We spent a week in Riva staying on the water’s edge, visiting our daily coffee shop and keeping up a balanced diet of gelato and pizza. Riva is not a town inhabited by an excessive amount of tourists which made it that more magical. We certainly got a taste of the Italian tradition, the cobbled streets and kindness of the people. I felt quite at home by the end of the week. 

VERONA

VERONA- The setting of William Shakespeare’s heartbreaking play, Romeo and Juliet and more modernly known as the setting of Letters to Juliet.  I did not spend much time in this city, but the views I did see where beautiful.  

A STROLL IN THE PARK

Knole Park is located in Sevenoaks, UK. Before my family ventured on our holiday to Italy (photos to come), we visited our cousins and spent a day with them. Knole Park consists of a manor house and gardens that have been donated to the state for public use. If you are Downton Abbey fangirl like me you would understand the beauty I see in these estates. It was a beautiful day, and then gardens were a grand place to explore.
