Besides being an internet addict, my other form of procrastination
comes through photography. But this post isn't going to be about what I've been
up to lately, but rather why the next photographs you will see are actually
very significant and have a purpose on this blog.
“She wins who calls herself beautiful and
challenges the world to change to truly see her.” – Naomi Wolf
I have been called a feminist, but I look at myself as someone who
embraces there femininity rather than trying to expel it as many feminist do. I
don’t burn my bras, or throw my stockings away- neither do I banish everything
relating to the male sex. BUT I do believe that women need to embrace the supremacy
they have inside themselves in order to empower their self-worth
Women have become the subject to societies ideas of the “perfect”
women- skinny, tanned, can wear anything and look good. I am not one of those
women.
These photographs are going to tell their story- so scroll down
and have a look at my new puzzle pieces.

We've become society's puppets |
|
We paint our faces, because without it we are nothing |
|
Frustrated with our own minds |
|
We dress up and put on the show |
|
Captured in our own bodies |
|
Society's image of perfection |
|
Lost |
|
We beat up our own bodies- degrading |
|
Yet we still pray for perfection |
*You would think that because I had a sister I could force her to
be my model. But I must say I rather enjoyed running around the garden.
